Main active ingredients

Active form of folic acid
The 400 mg contained in the daily dose of the complex meets the recommendations of doctors and midwives for pregnant women and those preparing for conception.
It supports blood formation, cell division and the growth of germinal tissues. It contains a more biologically active form of folic acid – folate. This is great news for women who are unable to convert folic acid into it and therefore do not fully benefit from other vitamin complexes.

Vitamin D3
It can reduce the risk of future common and chronic diseases in the child. The complex covers the recommended dose of 10ug (400iu), but some women have an even higher need. Therefore, we recommend taking additional vitamin D (you can find it in our assortment).

Iodine
It contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. Insufficient iodine intake during pregnancy can be very risky, especially for vegans.

Selenium
Selenium has a positive effect on the functioning of the thyroid gland, liver, and fertility. It also supports the antioxidant capabilities of our body and increases the activity of the immune system.

Vitamin B
B vitamins will help a woman during pregnancy to make the most of all the nutrients she consumes with food.

Iron
It ensures the proper functioning of the reproductive organs. During pregnancy, it is necessary to supplement it sufficiently due to the increased production and need for red blood cells.

Frequently asked questions
Does Food-Grown Pregnancy Vitamin Complex contain the required 400 micrograms of folic acid?
Yes, it does. In fact, it contains a more biologically active form of folic acid - folate, naturally obtained through our Food-Grown process. Folate is better absorbed and utilized because it is already activated, which is especially important for some women who are genetically unable to activate standard folic acid.
Can I take Food-Grown Pregnancy Vitamin Complex for each trimester?
Yes, Food-Grown Pregnancy Vitamin Complex is expertly formulated to support every stage of pregnancy through breastfeeding. You and your baby will go through several key developmental changes leading up to and after birth. Taking our formula will help ensure you get all the right nutrients you need along the way.
I am looking for methylated folate - is this product suitable for me?
Yes, it is. Due to UK labelling laws, we are legally required to list this ingredient as "folic acid". Our product is in the form of methylated folate, naturally obtained through a Food-Grown process, not synthetically created. This means it is suitable for those women who may not be able to convert folic acid due to genetic variations in folate metabolism.
Can I safely use other products besides pregnancy products?
Our Food-Grown Pregnancy Vitamin Complex can be safely taken with the following products: Food-Grown Iron Plus, Pure Strength Omega 3, Food-Grown Vitamin D. If you need further advice, please book an appointment with one of our nutrition consultants (link to Femvie consultation in the top bar).
How long after giving birth should I take Food-Grown Vitamin Complex for Pregnancy?
We recommend that you continue taking our Food-Grown Pregnancy Multivitamin until your baby is at least 12 weeks old, or longer if you wish. Even if you are not breastfeeding, you will still need to optimize your nutrition, and our formula has been specifically designed to provide the most appropriate amount of nutrients for new mothers. After 12 weeks, you can switch to one of our expertly formulated daily multivitamins. If you need further advice, please book an appointment with one of our nutritionists.
Can I safely use Food-Grown Pregnancy Vitamin Complex together with Food-Grown Breast-Feeding Complex?
Yes, you can start using the Lactation Support Complex immediately after giving birth. These products have been specially developed to be used in combination and together support you and your baby throughout your pregnancy and breastfeeding.
I am about to give birth - do I have to stop taking Food-Grown Vitamin Complex for Pregnant Women?
Our product has been developed to support you and your baby throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding, so there's no need to stop taking it once you give birth. In fact, the "4th trimester" is often the most challenging, so your body will need even more support to recover from childbirth, as well as dealing with hormonal changes, low energy levels and lack of sleep.
