How is certified organic cotton different from conventional cotton?

GOTS certified organic cotton is grown without GMOs and harmful chemicals, with a lower carbon footprint and under fair conditions for farmers.

What are Femvie BIO pads made of?

Unlike conventional pads, which are up to 90% plastic*, we use plant-based and biodegradable materials for the packaging and use GOTS certified organic cotton - the only material from which the pad is made. The waterproof backing is essential for protection against leakage, all our pads and panty liners contain the sustainable plant-based bioplastic PLA (made from sugar cane and corn starch). *Mirzaie et al. What are the dimensions of each Femvie insert?

Daily pads - length approx. 23 cm, suitable for normal to moderately heavy menstruation. Night pads - length approx. 26 cm, provide greater coverage and security during sleep or during heavier menstruation. Panty liners - length approx. 18 cm, very thin and soft, ideal for lighter days or everyday use. All types have a thin, conforming shape and a soft organic cotton surface layer that ensures comfort without unnecessary bulk.

What makes certified organic cotton better?

Manufacturers of intimate hygiene products are not required to disclose their exact ingredients, as is the case with food and cosmetics. Therefore, it is important to exercise extreme caution when choosing tampons and pads. The guarantee of the highest quality of the cotton used is the GOTS certification. This confirms that the cotton is grown without chemicals or harmful substances and under ethical conditions. Products that do not have this certification cannot be guaranteed to be of high quality and will not cause allergic reactions or health problems.

How to choose absorbency?

Medium / Daily ●●○○ For moderate bleeding. Absorbs approximately as much as 2 regular tampons. Heavier / Night ●●●● For heavier bleeding and nighttime protection. Absorbs approximately as much as 4 regular tampons. We recommend changing the pad approximately every 3-4 hours, depending on the intensity of your period. Certified organic cotton pads do not contain chemical superabsorbents, so it is advisable not to wait until they are completely soaked - this will make the body feel fresher and more comfortable.
