“As a woman, I know that most regular tampons contain things we shouldn’t put in our bodies. The latest independent reports even found toxic glyphosate – up to 40x the limit for drinking water. And because the vaginal mucosa absorbs substances faster than anywhere else, I decided that Femvie would do things differently. That’s why we only offer 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. No plastics, no chemicals, no compromises. Women deserve to know what they are putting in their bodies.”

Information about Femvie ORGANIC tampons
The certainty that they will not leak
The advantage of tampons without added substances and plastic particles that unnaturally increase absorbency is that they absorb fluid for a shorter time than regular tampons.
This allows you to change them more often and not risk your body thinking that "it can wait." This significantly contributes to reducing the risk of toxic shock syndrome.
Two sizes that are sensitive to the female body
Femvie offers two sizes of tampons:
Regular (6-9 g) for light to moderate bleeding
and Super (9-12 g) for heavy bleeding.
Always choose the right size tampons – smaller for normal and light menstruation and larger for heavy. Organic cotton tampons always adhere gently to the mucous membrane, but thanks to their pure composition, they do not introduce harmful substances into it and do not limit its function.
We use certified organic cotton
ORGANIC cotton is grown without GMOs and harmful chemicals, with a lower carbon footprint and under fair conditions for farmers.
What does GOTS certification mean and why is it important?
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the most stringent international certification for organic textile production. It guarantees that the cotton is grown without harmful pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers, and that the entire production process is environmentally friendly and socially responsible. This certification gives you the confidence that you are using a truly pure and ethically produced product.
Frequently asked questions
What makes certified organic cotton better?
Manufacturers of intimate hygiene products are not required to disclose their exact ingredients, as is the case with food and cosmetics. Therefore, it is important to exercise extreme caution when choosing tampons and pads.
The guarantee of the highest quality of the cotton used is the GOTS certification. This confirms that the cotton is grown without chemicals or harmful substances and under ethical conditions. Products that do not have this certification cannot be guaranteed to be of high quality and will not cause allergic reactions or health problems.
What size tampon should I choose?
We offer Femvie tampons in two sizes: Regular and Super.
If you have light to moderate bleeding, use Regular tampons. For heavier bleeding, choose the Super size. Try the Regular size first, and if you change your tampon more often than every four hours, use the Super size. Never automatically reach for the largest size, adjust the size to your body's needs.
Choose your size based on how often you change your tampon:
1× every two hours = Super (holds 9-12 grams of blood)
1× every four hours = Regular (holds 6-9 grams of blood)
Change your tampon approximately every 4 to 8 hours. Blood on the tampon string indicates that the tampon is saturated with blood, so change it as soon as possible.
How should I use a tampon so that it doesn't leak?
Change your tampons frequently (about every 4-8 hours) to reduce the risk of toxic shock syndrome. If you feel like your tampon is leaking, you have a very heavy period and should change your tampon as soon as possible.
Always choose the right size tampons – smaller for normal and light menstruation and larger for heavy. Organic cotton tampons always adhere gently to the mucous membrane, but thanks to their pure composition, they do not introduce harmful substances into it and do not limit its function.
How often should a tampon be changed?
It depends on the intensity of the bleeding. If your bleeding is heavy, change it approximately every 3-6 hours. If your period is light, insert a new tampon every 4-8 hours.
You can also tell if it's time to change it by gently pulling on the string. If the tampon moves, remove it. Another clear sign to remove it is blood on the string.
Can I get toxic shock syndrome (TSS) from organic tampons?
As most gynecologists and midwives will tell you, it is better to use pure natural cotton products during menstruation. However, even 100% organic cotton tampons do not guarantee the complete elimination of TSS.
Change them regularly and use tampons with the absorbency you need - this will also help your body.
Toxic shock syndrome is a very rare but serious condition that can affect men, women, and children. About half of all cases of TSS occur in menstruating women and girls. TSS has been described in association with tampon use, but it can occur during menstruation even when tampons are not used. TSS is caused by bacterial toxins from organisms that are commonly found in the human body.
Is it necessary to change a tampon every time I go to the toilet?
No, only the intensity of your menstrual bleeding determines how often you need to change your tampon. The vagina, urethra, and intestines are separate organs with their own openings.
