Menstruation, PMS and hormonal imbalance from a naturopathic perspective

Some clients' PMS symptoms stopped after stopping contraception, others were helped by lifestyle changes, a quality diet, and others even quit their jobs or resolved their personal relationships. In my office, I always pay attention to an individual approach and look for areas that are good to change. What can we do for ourselves if we are stressed? Functional medicine doctor Dr. Jan Vojáček describes this perfectly in his book The Art of Being Healthy - It is essential to slow down and calm down as much as possible in a tense situation.

Why should we care about our cycle?

I personally perceive the source of problems before menstruation to be a misunderstanding of female physiology from the advice of experts, from whom we seek advice, which is logical. I try to look at health and the body from several angles. The first thing I do is to address the body's nutrition. I look for what the body is missing or has left over. I use visual diagnostics to do this – nails, hair, eyes,...

Why choose organic cotton tampons and pads?

Since women’s mucous membranes can absorb even more chemicals than our skin, frequent contact with these toxins and chemicals can contribute to the development of metabolic changes and lead to related health problems ( 3 ). The average woman will use 11,000 tampons in her lifetime, so the more we can limit our bodies’ exposure to these chemicals, the better ( 4 ).
